The Bell Tent
Our 4 metre bell tent is a world away from camping trips of old! Positioned just behind our bunkhouse, and on it's purpose built platform to raise it off the ground, it commands stunning views of the Firth or Lorne with many islands dotted in the distance including Seil, Jura, Colonsay, Mull and the Garvellachs.
We've build a small sheltered cooking area in the ruin just next to the tent. It has 2 powerful gas ring burners and all the pots, pans, bits and bobs you'll need to whip up something nice for dinner or make a morning cuppa. (We'll fill a big jerry of Kerrera spring water for you!)
If the weather is nice you're welcome to use our barrel BBQ. We have charcoal on site so you only need to pack some sausages and buns!
You are welcome to use our amazing 'Loo with a view' and have access to the bunkhouse shower facilities but you'll need to pack your own towel.
The tent has a very comfortable double bed raised up on a pallet bed frame and comfy and cosy bedding is provided. There is also a wee woodburning stove and a small basket of wood is included in the booking price. There are lovely solar lights in the tent but we'd recommend bringing a wee torch.
The price per night for the bell tent is £45.
Please note that all bell tent bookings are subject to the West Highland weather! As a general rule the tent is not up until June and even then we will confirm with 100% certainty the week prior to any bookings made. Any deposits paid will be refunded in full in the event of a weather cancellation.

Once on the island, you can walk to us easily but we can also arraneg a collection of people and/or bags as it's 2.5 miles. If you stay on the path to the left, you will reach us in about 50mins. Should you prefer a longer walk, you can take the path on the right, up past the old school, which will take you down the west coast of the island, with stunning views out to Mull and Lismore. This route will take about 2hrs to get to the Bunkhouse.
