Getting Here

We are situated at the south end of the Isle of Kerrera, off the coast of Oban. There is a regular ferry service operated from slip at Gallanach Road, 2 miles south of Oban. Car parking is available here, and you will need to leave your car here as there is a policy of residents vehicles only on the island. For information regarding ferry fares and timetables please see here

From the ferry

Once you are on the island and walk up the road a wee bit, past the noticeboard and old telephone box and you will get to a small crossroads. Here, should you decide to take the left fork, you be taking the shortest route, past a few cheeky roadside teapots and Horseshoe Bay, to the Tea Garden at Lower Gylen. This walk takes about 50 minutes.

Should you take the path up the hill on the right- you will still get to the Tea Garden as it is a circular path. This route, going past the old school house, will take you anti-clockwise around the path and it take about 2 hours to get to us. It’s worth it, as you get some stunning views of Mull and Lismore.
