The
Bunk house at Lower Gylen is a converted 18th Century stable. Sleeping
up to 7 people, it is cosy and comfortable, with 2 double bunk compartments
and separate sleeping platforms for a double and a single bed, as
well as a living area with a music system and plenty of books and
games.
It is well equipped with all bedding (towels
are not provided), hot water, cooker, spring water on tap, fridge
and cooking utensils. There is no shop on the island, but there
is a stock of basic provisions (tea, coffee, sugar) included in
the bunkhouse price.
The Bunkhouse is open all year, but advance booking is recommended
due to the limited number of beds. The cost is :
£14 per person for 1 night

The Byre is a small converted barn with a
woodburner, sofas and armchairs as well as a several tables and
plenty of chairs. It has music facilities, and a selection of books.
This room is availabe for hire in the evenings
for £20, to include wood for the fire.
