The
Bunk house at Lower Gylen is a converted 18th Century stable. Sleeping
up to 7 people, it is cosy and comfortable, with 2 double bunk compartments
and separate sleeping platforms for a double and a single bed, as
well as a living area with a music system and plenty of books and
games.
It is well equipped with all bedding, hot
water, cooker, spring water on tap, fridge and cooking utensils.
There is no shop on the island, but there is a stock of basic provisions
(tea, coffee, sugar) included in the bunkhouse price. A public telephone
is available.
The Bunkhouse is open all year, but advance booking is recommended
due to the limited number of beds. The cost is :
£14 per person for 1 night
stay / £12 per person per night for 2+ nights
stay.

The Byre is a small converted barn with a
woodburner, sofas and armchairs as well as a selection of tables
and chairs. It has surround sound music facilities and the option
of a video/dvd/computer projector and big screen, making it the
cosiest cinema on the West Coast!
This room is availabe for hire in the evenings
for £20, to include wood for the fire, and choice of over
100 films. It is suitable for celebrations, watching films or just
relaxing by the fire...
